As the Art Director for VSA, I was tasked to make an illustration for our upcoming e-board merch. We wanted something to represent Vietnam, but also look appealing as a piece of clothing. I carefully chose each image to represent our culture.

I picked the Nghê (Guardian Lion) since I wanted my fellow club members to have a “good luck” charm. The Guardian Lion is known to represent protection, prosperity, and strength.

The Lotus flower is a beloved flower and symbol in Vietnam, representing purity, resilience, and spiritual strength.

Lastly, I added Auspicious clouds since they are a traditional motif in Vietnamese and East Asian art, symbolizing good fortune, blessings, and spiritual energy.
